Titanic

                                                            TITANIC *  The RMS Titanic was a famous British passenger ship. * It was considered the largest and most luxurious ship of its time. * The Titanic began its maiden voyage on April 10, 1912. * It was traveling from England to New York City. * On April 14, 1912, the ship struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean. * The collision caused severe damage and the ship started to sink. * There were not enough lifeboats for all the passengers and crew. * The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, and more than 1,500 people lost their lives. 🚢❄️

                                                            THE HUMAN BRAIN *  The human brain is the most complex organ in the body. * It controls our thoughts, memory, emotions, and actions. * The brain is made up of billions of nerve cells called neurons. * These neurons send signals throughout the body. * The brain is divided into different parts, each with a specific function. * The cerebrum is responsible for thinking and decision-making. * The cerebellum helps control balance and movement. * The brain stem controls basic functions like breathing and heartbeat. * The brain needs oxygen and nutrients to work properly. * Keeping the brain healthy is important for a good life.

                                                “The Moon – Earth’s Natural Satellite” *  The Moon is Earth’s only natural satellite and it orbits our planet every month.  * It shines at night because it reflects light from the Sun. * The Moon has different phases such as full moon, half moon, and new moon. * Its surface is covered with craters, mountains, and dusty soil. * The Moon’s gravity causes ocean tides on Earth. * Humans first landed on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. * The Moon has no air or water, so living things cannot survive there. * It takes about 27 days for the Moon to travel around Earth once. *  The Moon looks different sizes in the sky depending on its position and phase. * The Moon is one of the brightest and most beautiful objects we can see in the night sky.

ANTS

                                                          ANTS  Ants are small insects that live together in large groups called colonies. They are known for their hard work and teamwork. Ant colonies have different roles such as workers, soldiers, and a queen. The queen ant’s main job is to lay eggs and grow the colony. Worker ants collect food and build tunnels underground. Ants can carry objects that are many times heavier than their own body weight. They communicate with each other using chemicals called pheromones. Ants are found almost everywhere in the world except very cold places. These insects help the environment by cleaning up food and organic waste. Even though ants are tiny, they play an important role in nature.

My favourite novel

                                                 MY FAVOURITE NOVEL *  My favorite novel is Mayi Mara Prasangaya. * It was written by Mahinda Prasad Masimbula. * This book was selected as one of the top five outstanding novels for the Swarna Pusthaka Award in 2024. * The novel is based on the life story of an individual. * It presents the real conditions of society through its story. * The author’s writing style is simple yet filled with deep ideas. * Other works by Mahinda Prasad Masimbula include Hiruth Hima Piyallaka, Ahi Piyan Herila, Senkottan, Manikkawatha, and Apoyiyawa. * The novel is interesting to read and gives readers many deep thoughts.
