* Lions mainly live in grasslands and savannas, especially in Africa.

* A group of lions is called a pride, and they live and hunt together.

* Male lions are easy to recognize because of their large and thick manes.

*  Female lions, called lionesses, are the primary hunters of the pride.

* Lions are carnivores and usually hunt animals like zebras and antelopes.

* They are one of the few big cats that live in social groups.

* Lions spend a lot of time resting and can sleep up to 20 hours a day.

* Lion cubs are playful and depend on their mothers for protection and food. 

* Today, lions face threats such as habitat loss and human activities, making conservation important.
